Sonus faber partners with the Center for Italian Modern Art in New York City

Stunning artistry and a love of Italian culture is a cornerstone of Sonus faber. That’s why we’re proud to announce our partnership with the Center for Modern Italian Art (CIMA). Visit CIMA in New York City to experience Sonus faber’s Il Cremonese speakers and the latest exhibit “Bruno Munari: The Child Within”.

As a second wave futurist, Munari was fascinated with how sound and movement informed his visual work.
Sonus faber’s handcrafted wood speakers marry the future of sound with the history of Italian craftsmanship.
This perfectly aligns with the ethos of Munari’s creative legacy.

“We are so proud to partner with CIMA and reestablish our synergy with artists and designers,” said Sonus faber Chief of Design, Livio Cucuzza. “It is of the utmost importance for us to pay homage to Italian artisans and share their works with the world, specifically and especially to Bruno Munari, a pillar of Italian design and creative genius.”

The elegant and thoughtfully curated CIMA is the ideal place to experience our Il Cremonese speakers, which were designed to honor the Italian violin maker Antonio Stradivari.
Both Munari and Stradivari were titans of Italian artistry, and as modern creatives who handcraft acoustic environments, we feel honored to join CIMA in this collaboration.

Through January 14, 2023, art and music lovers can visit CIMA Fridays and Saturdays to enjoy artwork, and hear rich music play through our Il Cremonese speakers.
